Once enrolled in COMPASSSM, patients can connect with a Registered Nurse who can provide personalized support, answer questions, and share helpful resources on how to manage their condition.
The Case Managers at COMPASSSM can help patients and their families gain access to ACTIMMUNE® (Interferon gamma-1b) and navigate through insurance issues and questions. The Case Managers will research your benefits and, if needed, provide assistance with prior authorizations and appeals.
COMPASSSM can help you reduce your out-of-pocket expenses through the Horizon Pharma Co-Pay Assistance Program. This program will cover the co-pay and co-insurance amounts, which will automatically be applied by the pharmacy, eliminating your monthly costs.
This Co-Pay Assistance Program is for commercial insurance plans only.
For patients who do not have insurance or whose insurance plans do not cover ACTIMMUNE® (Interferon gamma-1b), COMPASSSM may provide the medication to eligible patients at no cost. At the patient's request, this program can also assist in finding insurance coverage.
It’s important that ACTIMMUNE® (Interferon gamma-1b) patients have a safe way to dispose of used syringes. Through COMPASSSM, you will automatically receive a new sharps container every 3 months, with packaging so you can safely return the filled container for disposal.
If you have a busy schedule, sign up for text and email reminders to help you keep track of your ACTIMMUNE® (Interferon gamma-1b) refills.
Each reminder is sent 5 days before your refill is due. This is a good time to contact your specialty pharmacy to schedule your next shipment. If you have any questions, call the COMPASSSM contact number included with the reminder.
When it comes to managing Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD) and severe, malignant osteopetrosis (SMO), having the right resources and educational tools can make a significant difference.
The Comprehensive Personalized Patient Prescription Advocacy and Support Services (COMPASSSM) Program offers patients on ACTIMMUNE® (Interferon gamma-1b) and their families one-stop convenient access to support services, ongoing health education, and financial resources.
